Moulin Rouge! The Musical

Al Hirschfeld Theatre
302 West 45th Street

A stunning and lavish musical based on the popular film by Baz Luhrmann.

Enter a world of glamour and spectacle. An arena where bohemian artists, aristocrats and some of the more, well, enterprising members of society gather to rub elbows, discover freedom, seek truth, and most of all, find love.

Set in turn of the century Paris, in the Montmartre Quarter Moulin Rouge! The Musical tells the story of the ambitious, lovesick writer, Christian, and a dazzling, entrancing, Satine, the woman he falls desperately in love with. Their lives intertwine at the popular nightspot Moulin Rouge, which is thick with many characters from all corners of society including the wealthy and entitled Duke of Monroth, who believes he can buy anything he wants, including love.

With a score that features mashups of some of the most beloved popular music of the past 50 years, stunning set design and elaborate choreography, the audience is certain to have an evening to remember.

John Logan wrote the book. Alex Timbers direct and choreography by Sonya Tayeh.
